1/2 lb. Beef (flank steak, trimmed)
1/2 onion, sliced
1 bunch romaine lettuce, sliced
1 large tomato, sliced
2 green onions, sliced into 1″ pieces
1 stalk celery, sliced, w/leaves
1/2 red bell pepper, sliced
Optional: cucumber, carrot and cilantro
1/2 tbsp ground garlic
3 fresh serrano chiles, crushed
1 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp nampla (fish sauce)
4 tbsp lime juice
How to prepare
1. Slice beef approximately 1/4″ thick, then grill until beef is cooked to your liking. Slice beef into small pieces.
2. Dressing (can be used w/seafood, chicken, etc. Also, peanuts may be added) mix all of the above ingredients together in a bowl. Add dressing to cooked beef. Mix well. Add celery, green onion, romaine lettuce, and tomato. Garnish with red bell pepper and serve.
