Salsa de tomatillo (cruda)


1/2 lb tomatillos
1 clove garlic, peeled
4 chiles serranos, chopped
salt to taste
1/3 cup cold water
2 tbsp finely chopped white onion
2 tbsp roughly chopped fresh cilantro

How to prepare

Remove the papery husks from the tomatillos and blanch. Chop them roughly and put them into the blender with the garlic, chiles, salt, and water. Turn on and off until the ingredients are finely chopped-do not blend. Stir in the onion and cilantro and serve at room temperature. Makes about 1 1/2 cups
