1/2 stick butter, room temperature
4 tsp dried basil, crumbled
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 cup fresh basil leaves
40 large garlic cloves (unpeeled)

1/2 cup dry white wine
1 cup chicken stock or canned broth
1 cup fresh basil leaves cut julienne
