Ingredients
1 gallon pears
1 tsp ground cloves
1/2 gallon onions
4 lb sugar (8 cups)
12 green bell peppers
1 qt vinegar
12 red bell peppers
1 tbsp celery seed
1/2 cup salt (or less)
2 tbsp mustard seed
1 tsp dry mustard
2 tbsp turmeric
How to prepare
Grind pears, onions and bell peppers. Drain well in colander. Add remaining ingredients to drained mixture and bring to a boil. Boil 7 min.. Place in hot sterilized jars and seal while hot. Makes 18 pints.
