Hot horseradish sauce


Ingredients

1/2 cup fine cracker crumbs
1/2 cup grated fresh horseradish
1-1/2 cups milk
3 tbsp butter
salt & pepper
lemon juice

How to prepare

Mix the crumbs, horseradish and milk in the top of a double boiler. Let the mixture stand for a couple of hours. Cook 20 to 25 minutes over boiling water, stirring now and then. Blend in the butter and salt and pepper. A little lemon juice may be added if you like.
