Hot german potato salad


3 lbs potatoes
6 slices bacon
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 tbsp flour
2 tbsp sugar
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp celery seed

Dash black pepper
1/4 cup water
1/3 cup vinegar

How to prepare

Boil potatoes in jackets till tender. Drain, set aside. In large skillet, fry bacon until crisp. Remove bacon and add onion to bacon drippings, stirring until tender. Stir in flour, sugar, salt, celery seed & pepper. Cook over low heat until bubbly. Remove from heat and stir in water & vinegar. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Peel potatoes, and cut into slices. Crumble bacon and stir bacon and potatoes into hot mixture. Heat through, stirring lightly to coat potato slices. Makes 6 servings.
