Greek tomato sauce


3 tbsp olive oil
2 tsp whole oregano
1 yellow onion, peeled and coarsely chopped
1 cup dry red wine
1 8-oz. Can tomato sauce
1 clove garlic, chopped fine

1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
pinch of ground allspice
5 very ripe tomatoes, cored chopped (about 4-1/2 cups)
salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp chopped parsley
