Fisherman’s cioppino

1 tbsp vegetable oil
8 oz tomato sauce
28 oz tomato, mashed
1 bay leaf
1 tsp basil, dried
1 tsp thyme, dried
1 tsp oregano, dried
1 tsp marjoram, dried
1/2 cup dry white wine
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 lb shrimp or scallops, chopped
1 tbsp parsley, fresh, chopped
