Chili nuts


Cashews 2 cups or pecans
1/4 cup unsalted butter
2 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp garlic salt
dash tabasco sauce

How to prepare

Spread nuts in roasting pan. Toast in preheated oven for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally. Melt butter in skillet and add chili powder, cayenne, garlic salt, and tabasco. Pour over nuts and roast, stirring frequently, for 20 minutes. Drain on paper towels. Cool before storing. Storing: airtight containers, in cool place, up to 6 weeks 2 cups . Yield: about 4 cups
