Cajun style baked beans


2 1/2 cups cooked pinto beans
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup honey
1 cup chablis wine
2 tsp louisiana red hot sauce
2 tbsp mustard seed
1 med onion chopped
1 large bell pepper chopped
1 tsp minced garlic
6 strips of bacon

How to prepare

The beans should be cooked and seasoned as you normally would. Put the beans in a large enough baking dish or bowl to accommodate the beans plus the remaining ingredients. In a separate bowl stir the remaining ingredients together until the honey is completely mixed in. Pour the honey/wine mixture over the beans and stir in. Top with bacon strips in a criss-cross pattern. Bake at 400
