Bacon stuffed mushrooms


12 med mushroom caps
3 slices bacon
1/3 cup sharp cheddar shreds
1/2 tsp green onions, chopped
1/8 tsp salt
1/4 cup bacon grease

How to prepare

Preheat the broiler. Fry the bacon. Drain. Crumble. Dip the mushroom caps in the bacon grease. Place, top down, on the broiler pan. Combine the crumbled bacon and shredded cheddar. Fill the mushroom caps with the bacon and cheese combination. Place the mushroom caps 4″ from the source of heat. Broil 6 to 8 minutes. Serve immediately.
